We love dogs!  We believe that being a major part of the family entitles your dog to a special day out every so often, where other doggie people (and their dogs) can meet and have some fun joining in a host of activities especially designed for our four-legged friends.

Based at the Royal Norfolk Showground (Norwich), the fantastic All About Dogs caters for pet dogs, working dogs and even show dogs - in fact it's the largest outdoor event of its type in Eastern England!
 

All About Dogs is tailored for all types of dogs, from beloved pets to trained working dogs and is the largest event of its type anywhere in Eastern England.  With demonstrations, professional advice, have-a-go activities, competitions and of course doggy shopping...

Featuring some of the best trained dogs in the region competiting for coveted prizes in front of potentially thousands of dog loving visitors.  There will be working dog demonstrations, pet dog shows, dog sports and lots of doggy fun.

All About Dogs is organised by Aztec Events, the dog loving team behind many of the large events at the local Showgrounds, including the popular Norfolk Garden Show and the Robin Hood Game & Country Show.  Aztec are committed to putting on a great event, with top class entertainment and fun for all the family.

DOCK DOGS- Big Air Competition  Have a Go!!  Back in Norfolk due to popular demand, all the way from the USA, the Dock Dogs BIG AIR competition makes a huge splash back at this years show.  This fun competition involves a ball, a large pool of water and the dog that can leap the furthest.  To take part in this fun event come along and register at the show.

DOG EXPERTS    We are pleased to welcome to the show this year, special guests (and top dog experts)  Marie Miller, Sarah Fisher and Rex Makemson  to the show...   

Sarah , who recently appeared on BBCs 'over the Rainbow'  helping to search for the part of Toto, has featured in many TV shows as resident dog expert, including The One Show, Animal Rescue Live, Blue Peter, Richard &  Judy, Celebrity Dog School, GMTV and Breakfast News.   She also works with private cleints and teaches workshops at some of the country's top shelters including Battersea Dogs Home.   

Marie Miller  is recognised as being one of the UKs top dog trainers and behaviourists.   Marie is also a Tellington TTouch Practitioner 3 and also holds a RSA certificate in counselling skills and Development of Learning.   Her consultancy has helped clients from celebrities to competitors to general dog owners all over the country.

Rex Makemson,  BBC Radio's favourite Canine Behaviourist answering phone in problems every month. Appeared on Channel 4, Sky T.V. & BBC T.V and has his own KC Listed Obedience Training School in Norfolk. Pets As Therapy County Co-ordinator.     Rex will be helping with some Behavioural problems and demonstrating how children should behave around dogs using the Kennel Clubs Safe & Sound Scheme

LURCHER RACING  Have A Go!!  Ridgeside Lurchers invites you to experience the full speed hunting abilities of the Lurcher.  In the main arena they will race, at full speed, chasing the electric lure.  They offer a fast, action packed demonstration with an informative and humerous comentator, Phill.  You also have the chance to 'have a go' with your own dog, whatever the breed!!


DOG AGILITY Have a Go!! 

Join the Tendring Dog Agility Club in this amazing interactive dog agility display.  Give your dog some extra exercise and see if they have what it takes to complete the agility course.  They may even clock the fastest time of the day...


FUN DOG SHOWS & GAMES  Have a Go!!    Do you think you own the scruffiest looking dog?   Maybe the most talented pooch?   Well, this years show features a number of fun competitions designed for the average pet dog.  Anyone can enter - just register at the show - your dog could even win a rosette!  Organised by the team at Animal Magic Dog Club - come along and have a go...  click here for confirmed classes and fun games.


EAST ANGLIA DRUG DOG DEMO

We are pleased to welcome the East Anglia Regional Drug Dogs to our show.  They will be demonstrating how they sniff for drugs in different establishments.  Visitors will also be able to meet the dogs and if you have a dog which needs rehoming and could be trained as a drug dog then speak to the handlers at the show.

GUN DOG DEMONSTRATIONS

Have you ever wondered what it takes to fully train a working gun dog?  Join the experts in this fun and educational demonstration featuring fully trained (and some nearly fully trained) dogs.



DOG SCURRY  Have a Go!! 

Does your dog have what it takes to be a champion in this professional scurry organised by the National Organisation of Beaters & Pickers Up.




DOGGIE TRADE STANDS  Around 100 trade stands selling a whole range of dog-based products and services.  From leads to dog beds, dog portraits to dog foods.  The event features a huge range of everything dog related - even your beloved dog needs some retail therapy even so often...



DOG TRICKS Join the James Wellbeloved Dog Trick Team in this special demonstration of some amazing doggy tricks.  Visit the James Wellbeloved stand and maybe your dog can learn some new tricks!

Whistle Stops - dogs have to sit on mat when the whiste is blown (dog on last mat wins)

Sherlock Bones- dogs have to find hidden treats using their sense of smell (first to locate treat wins)

Sausage Gobbling Race- dogs have to find and eat sausages and return to base (fastest wins)

Fastest Bonio in the East- dogs have to eat a Bonio (quickest wins) 

Tennis Ball  and Spoon race- owners have to hold tennis ball on spoon in one hand and complete course with dog on lead. First past post without dropping ball wins.

Retrieve Relay- Dogs have to pick up a variety of objects. First to retrieve all wins

Russian Roulette - Dog and owner have to guess and avoid chosen sitting point. Last dog in arena wins.

Simon Says- Sits ,downs and stands. Last dog in arena wins

Traffic Lights- Dogs to sit when lights red, green to walk. First over line wins.
